The client intended to enter into large-scale solar business in Rajasthan as a part of its future business strategy and investment plans. ITP India was appointed as its consultant for the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a 5 MW solar PV power plant in Rajasthan. The study consisted of site selection and assessment, solar resource assessment and energy yield performance modelling, system design, layout of PV arrays and electrical systems, control rooms, grid interface, schematic system drawing, technical bid specifications and selection of vendors, financial analysis including specific power generation cost, analysis of different operating and financial scenarios.
