Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) for 30 MW Wind Power Project (2015)

Client: Private Client

Wind resource assessment services were provided for a 30 MW Wind Farm Project at Bhavnagar District of Gujarat, proposed to be set up by the client. The turbine model proposed by the client is a Suzlon S97 – 2.1 MW machine which has a rotor diameter of 97 m and a hub height of 90 m. The services included analysis of technical data for the site, provided by the client and apprise the client about the adequacy of the data to carry out the WRA, site visit to assess its topography, any overlying obstacles, climatic factors, and the existing infrastructure at the site, simulation using WAsP with the given wind data, turbine power curve and site parameters, estimation of uncertainties in energy generation estimates related instruments used, positioning of instruments, calibration, etc.
