Everest Industries Private Limited wanted to assess the potential for energy conservation and implement energy efficient measures in one of its manufacturing unit located at Podanur Works, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The objectives of the assignment were to conduct Energy Audit Study, implementation support in respect of the identified opportunities, and deliver customized training modules to sensitize the supervisors/ managers and spread awareness amongst them about the condition of the electrical system in order to reduce losses, breakdowns, maintenance cost and ensure safety. ITPI tasks included energy audit of the plant, analysis of energy use and identification of energy conservation opportunities, conducting benefit analysis of proposed energy conservation measures, preparation and submission of report, and organization of training programmes.
