Muktaparna is a renewable energy professional with over 4 years of expertise in solar PV project management, capacity building, fieldwork, and data analysis. She is currently a senior consultant at Global Sustainable Energy Solutions (GSES) India, where she has supported numerous projects funded by multilateral organisations such as the GIZ, World Bank, UNDP, USAID, and Mercy Corps. At GSES, Muktaparna has coordinated and managed training programs attended by professionals and entrepreneurs from over 40 countries. She has also aided in the development of training materials and books for engineers and technicians.
She holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Oldenburg in Germany. While completing her master’s degree, Muktaparna worked as a project management associate at PI Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin AG (PI Berlin). During this time, she immensely contributed to the failure investigation of several PV system projects and coordinated over 50 PV module testing projects between the PI Berlin laboratory team and clients to ensure smooth and timely delivery from start to finish. Additionally, while completing her master’s degree, Muktaparna worked as a field and data scientist associate at the German Aerospace Agency (DLR) where she performed on-site inspection and maintenance, and online monitoring of a fleet of cloud camera monitoring and weather stations. She also worked as a social tutor at the University of Oldenburg to support incoming international students in transitioning into a new country.
