Ashden India Renewable Energy Collective (AIREC)

The Ashden India Renewable Energy Collective (AIREC) is the network of India-based winners of the prestigious Ashden Awards. The Ashden Awards are international awards given to organisations promoting pro-poor and sustainable energy interventions. The Collective has 20 organisations and entrepreneurs as its members. ITPI received Ashden award in 2004 for its work on watermills. It worked with ‘Watermillers Association of Chamoli in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand to upgrade 70 traditional watermills to increase their daily output, and hence, the income of the watermiller.

 

Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN)

ITPI became a member of Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN) in it scommitment to promote access to equitable, reliable and sustainable energy for all.

CLEAN is an all India representative organization launched in 2014 with a clear mandate to support, unify and grow the decentralized clean energy sector in India. It particularly aims to bring together diverse stakeholders across India working to improve energy access for the rural and urban poor and create an inspiring model for countries around the world to follow

 

Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN)

ITPI became member of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) in 2014 to promote and facilitate climate resilient low carbon pathways and provide high quality and diverse expertise in the promotion of climate friendly technologies.

The CTCN is an operational arm of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, hosted by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The Centre promotes the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries.

 

Exclusive association for marketing & technical support for DesignBuilder Software in India and surrounding countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

DesignBuilder software provides easy to use energy modeling tool to develop comfortable and energy-efficient building designs from concept through to completion. ITPI has an exclusive association with DesignBuilder Software Australia for marketing and technical support for this software in India and surrounding countries in South Asia, these being of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

ITPI also conducts DBcertiCTM (a 4-week online Certification Course on DesignBuilder) to provide additional skills to architects, engineers and energy assessors and prepare them for green job market.

 

SME Member of Global Compact Network India (GCNI)

ITPI is committed to promote ‘Responsible Business’ throughout sustainable energy value chain and is proud to be a member of the Global Compact Network India (GCNI).

The Global Compact Network India (GCNI) is the Indian local network of UN Global Compact comprising of businesses, civil organisations, public and private sector enterprises in aligning stakeholders’ responsible practices in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption which are broad UN goals including Sustainable Development Goals.

 

Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)

In it’s effort to promote energy efficient buildings, ITPI became the member of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to play an active role in the advocacy of green buildings.

IGBC was formed in the year 2001 with a vision “To enable a sustainable built environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in the sustainable built environment by 2025”. The council offers a wide array of services which include developing new green building rating programmes, certification services and green building training programmes.

 

Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ)

SCGJ is industry led non-profit, autonomous society promoted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the mission to identify skilling needs of service users as well as manufacturers/ service providers within “Green Businesses” sector and implement nation-wide. ITPI is an industry member of the SCGJ.
