Pre-feasibility study on land-neutral photovoltaic (PV) power plants in Kerala & Maharashtra, India (2015-2016) funded by KfW Development Bank

The principal objective of the study was to take the concept of land-neutral PV projects in Kerala & Maharashtra and push it by diligent assessment and suitable development activities towards a more mature status. Services provided by ITPI included: (i) Technology assessment of canal top and floating PV power projects from all aspects; (ii) Development of preliminary designs of floating PV project for energy yield assessment; (iii) Appraisal of lessons learned from similar projects; (iv) Identification of actual project opportunities and their evaluation through site visits; and (v) Evaluation of the institutional and stakeholder landscape as well as industry support.
