Support to SE4ALL Country Actions Processes in Ghana, Kenya And Tanzania funded by the African Development Bank
The objective of this assignment was to support the Government of Ghana (GoG), and more particularly the Energy Commission and the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, in the development and the implementation of the SEforALL country initiative. Scope of work and activities under this assignment included- (i) Designing a monitoring, evaluation and reporting system for Ghana’s Action Agenda/Investment Prospectus; (ii) Capacity building and training programme; (iii) Evaluation of the financial and economic cost and benefit of mini grid systems using a range of renewable and renewable/hybrid permutations relevant to Ghana; (iv) Evaluation of SHS service models and financing modalities most appropriate to Ghanaian conditions and capabilities; (v) Evaluation of financial and economic combinations of SHS and mini-grid systems for household and productive uses relevant to Ghanaian circumstances, thus producing a decision-making tool; and (vi) Identification of technology transfer requirements.
